HITN Celebrates Win at the NY EMMY Awards

The Hispanic Information Telecommunications Network (HITN) is thrilled to announce that it has won a prestigious New York Emmy Award at the 67th Annual ceremony. This recognition reinforces HITN’s commitment to delivering outstanding Spanish-language programming that educates, informs, and inspires audiences.

The award-winning piece was Puerto Rican Heritage Month: Ramón & Irmgard, and its respective category is Human Interest Content – Spanish.

“We are deeply honored to receive this award,” said Michael D. Nieves, President and CEO of HITN. “This recognition reflects our entire staff’s hard work, talent, and dedication. We remain committed to creating culturally relevant content that resonates with our audience and fosters greater understanding.” Nieves also sits on the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture’s Board of Directors.

The series counted on Luis Sebastian Santana, Creative Director, and Alex Acevedo Arguiles, Supervising Director for the 5-part historical series. Luis Alejandro Molina, the Treasurer of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center’s Board of Directors, was an Executive Producer, and Mauricio Gallego, HITN’s Director of Content Operations and Creative Services, was also an Executive Producer.  Mauricio added, “The Puerto Rican Heritage series is where I, a Colombian, learned so much about how Puerto Ricans laid the groundwork for other Latino groups in the U.S.”  View the Award show in its entirety with the link below.
