On Wednesday, January 12th, teachers, and staff at Richard Yates Elementary welcomed students back to in-person learning. This follows a five-day cancellation of classes due to a walk-out by Chicago Teachers Union members.
In anticipation of students’ return to school, Yates staff and administrators worked diligently to prepare safely for Wednesday. Additional safety and health protocols have been implemented school-wide to keep students, staff, and the community protected against COVID-19. One of these safety measures was to encourage parents and guardians to enroll their child in the free weekly COVID-19 testing at the school.
