By Jenise Santiago and Adrian Rodríguez The Violence Prevention Department at the Puerto Rican Cultural Center was proud to participate in Steve Exclusive 773’s 14th Annual Back-to-School Event, hosted by Dope Drip Café.
We were excited to support our community by distributing more than 400 book bags and school supplies, while also providing free food, drinks, and haircuts to families and community members. The event created a welcoming and joyful atmosphere, with a DJ providing music that allowed families to dance, connect, and enjoy the day together.
We are incredibly grateful to all of our sponsors and partners for helping make this event such a collaborative and successful celebration: Taco Bell, Trinity Christian Fellowship, Empire Cutz, Tampico Irresistible, Vault Gallerie, Drip Collective, PSA, McGrath City Honda, Dope Drip Café, Curly’s Barbershop, and Battle Bandera.
Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and support to help local youth and families prepare for a successful school year. We are proud to continue working alongside our community partners to create meaningful opportunities and positive experiences for our families.
