Enrique Rivera Meléndez, age 79, passed away January 24, 2023. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, Enrique moved to New York in 1963. He worked in radio stations and other entertainment venues in New York, Chicago, and Ohio. In Chicago he worked at the San Juan Theater in the 1970s with Elias Díaz y Pérez and Raul Cardona.
A Devoted father of Evelyn Rivera-Swint and Enrique Rivera-Rivera. A cherished grandfather of Zachary Swint and Christina Swint. Beloved son of the late Enrique Rivera and Natividad Meléndez; dear brother of the late Antonia Torres; treasured uncle of Rosa Cordero and Esther Harris, and loving companion of Iris Migdalia Vázquez. Enrique enjoyed driving to Chicago to visit his daughter, grandchildren, and friends and watch baseball and basketball games. He worked at Western Enterprises in Avon Lake, Ohio.
